On May 15, 2018, we coordinated the first-ever D.C.Candidates' Food Forum with support from partners and sponsorship from Kaiser Permanente. Candidates vying for At-large and Chairman seats on D.C. Council shared how they plan to create a healthy and equitable food system in the nation's capital.
The Candidate's Food Forum was designed to elevate food issues in our public discourse, and to encourage our leaders to clarify their positions on key food system issues related to food access, health equity, urban agriculture, school food and more.
Candidates submitted their food system platforms in advance of the event, and provided written responses to a few additional questions.
